1) Bhagsu Waterfall:

The Bhagsunath temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is a significant site for Hindu pilgrims. There is a direct flow of this waterfall in the Bhagsunath temple, it would be blissful for you when you take a bath in that waterfall.

• Height of waterfall: around 50-60 ft
• Distance from Bhagsunath temple: 45 km trek and this trek is very adventures.
• Bathing is not allowed at this waterfall because it is very dangerous.
• There are beautiful spots to do photography
• You can get a bike or Activa on rent for 800-1000 rupees (for a day)

2) Dal Lake:

Dal Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in Mcleodganj. The view of Dal Lake is very stunning. In winter it is covered with snow and looks more beautiful.

3) Dalai lama temple:

This temple is worldwide famous, Foreigners also visit this temple to explore its beauty and learn about Tibetan culture. There are many wishing wheels where can make a wish.

4) Triund Hill:

A moderate trek that offers amazing views of the Dhauladhar range. It’s a popular trekking destination, especially for beginners, and provides a great camping experience under the stars. At the top of the trek, you can see the beauty of Kangra distinct. There are 2 ways to start the trek first is from Bhasgunath temple (a shortcut but this trek is full of adventures), second one is from Galludevi temple (a long trek but trekking is easy). 

• The total distance of this trek is 9 km
• Best time to start the trek: Morning
• Reach: 4-6 hours

5) Visit the Dharamshala Cricket Stadium (HPCA stadium):

One of the most picturesque cricket stadiums in the world, located in Dharamshala, offers stunning views of the mountains and is a must-visit for cricket fans

6) Take a day trip to Bir Billing:

Bir Billing is Known as the paragliding capital of India, Bir Billing is a short drive from McLeod Ganj and offers thrilling paragliding experiences, as well as a serene environment for meditation and relaxation.

7) Visit the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA):

Established to preserve Tibetan culture, this institute organizes performances of traditional Tibetan music, dance, and theater. If you’re lucky, you might catch a live performance.

8) Explore the Local Market (Mall Road):

Mcleodganj local market is famous for Tibetan handicrafts, prayer flags, thangkas (Tibetan paintings), woolen shawls, and jewelry.

9) Naddi Viewpoint:

Located 3 kilometers from Mcleodganj, it offers stunning views of the Dhauladhar mountain range and the sunset.

Other Information

Dharmshala to Mcleodganj: I prefer you to use the ropeway if your trip is for 3 days because you can use the same ropeway ticket while returning from Mcleodganj to Dharmshala.

Stay in Hotel: There are many hotels in Dharamshala as well as Mcleodganj but I prefer you to get a hotel room in Mcleodganj it’s easy for you to explore the beauty of Mcleodganj and it also saves your time. At the time of weekend hotel charges in Mcleodganj are at a high peak. So plan accordingly.
