1.NEERGARH WATERFALL:-

Neergarh waterfall is one of the biggest waterfalls in Rishikesh You will be able to get coffee, Maggi noodles, and other dishes from the roadside stalls located near the fall. Also, there are some cafes located near the fall where people go to enjoy Tibetan food. You can choose any month of the year to visit Neergarh Falls, but enjoying the falls can be even more exciting after October.

  • How to reach: 9km from Rishikesh railway station, you can get here by car or by hiring a scooter & bike.

2. NEER FALLS:-

Neer Falls is another beautiful waterfall at a distance of 200 meters from Neergarh Falls. Both these waterfalls are formed in the same stream, hence many tourists consider them to be different. Due to being at some distance, we know it by the names of Neer Falls and Neergarh Falls. During summer, this waterfall is crowded with many tourists who come here for bathing and picnics.

  • How to reach: 200 m from Neergarh waterfall, to reach Neer falls you can also take the Neergarh path.

3. SECRET WATERFALL:-

The most mysterious thing in Rishikesh is the secret waterfall located on Balaknath Temple Road in Tapovan. This waterfall built in the middle of the forest is a great picnic spot with its natural beauty. With several small water pools, this waterfall is a great place to take a dip. To reach Secret Falls, you can take the help of Balaknath Road of Tapovan. The road is well-connected to the falls, where you can reach by car or scooter. There are also many camping sites near the waterfall, where you can plan to stay for a day.

4. PATNA WATERFALL:-

Patna Waterfall is one of the main places in Rishikesh. The waterfall is about 3km from Neelkanth Road where an exciting trek of 1.5-2 km begins. It is a moderate trek not too hard, but you should be careful because the trek is slippery. After reaching the trek you find maggie, juice, and other facilities. 

  • Best time to visit:  Monsoon season
  • Things to do: Hiking, trekking, swimming, bird watching, eating Maggie and juice
  • Famous for: Single waterfall without any branches
  • How to reach: 13km from Rishikesh railway station and 6.5 km from Lakshman Jhula, you can get here by hiring a taxi or by your vehicle.

5. HIMSHAIL WATERFALL:-

Himshail Waterfall is a hidden gem of Rishikesh, which makes it a unique picnic spot. This is located near Bhoothanth temple. The trekking distance is about 4.1 km which is suitable for all age groups. This waterfall is about 30ft high in length, surrounded by dense forest. If you love to do yoga and meditation this place has something special for you.

  • Famous for: Best spot for yoga and meditation
  • How to reach: 3km from Lakshman jhula , you can get here by hiring a local taxi

6. GARUD CHATTI WATERFALL:-

Garud Chatti waterfall is one of the beautiful waterfalls of Rishikesh. It is very close to Lakshman Jhula and Neelkanth temple. The right time to visit this waterfall is at the time of monsoon when the waterfall is at its peak. The trekking distance is 3km which you can cover easily. 24/7 facilities like food, and drinks are available. This trek is moderately challenging.

  • Famous for: spiritual significance
  • How to reach: approx 3.5 km from Lakshman Jhula you can get here by shared taxi or local bus.

7. PHOOL CHATTI WATERFALL:-

Phool Chatti waterfall is located near Shivpuri, 12km from Rishikesh. The trekking distance to reach here is about 1.5 km trek is easy and can be covered in a day nearby restaurants and dhaba facilities are also available where you can take refreshments and all.  It is a collection of three waterfalls, it has become a magnet for tourists which attracts them towards the beauty of this waterfall.

  • Best time to visit: is April to June.
  • Things to do: Relaxing by water, exploring local culture, trekking, and picnicking.
  • Famous for: calm and rapid water flow.
  • How to reach: 9km from Rishikesh railway station and 4 km from Lakshman Jhula. You can get here by hiring a taxi or cab.

8. NILKANTH WATERFALL:

  • Best time to visit:  September to November
  • Things to do: trekking, picnic and photography
  • Famous for: beauty and quiet environment
  • How to reach: 5km from Lakshman Jhula and 9.5 km from Rishikesh railway station. You can get here by local bus or shared taxi.
